Owners, Present and Past
Bob and Sandy White (2000 - 2020) Extensive cruising 2003-2007 (8646 mi) - In 2003-2004, Inside Passage to Glacier Bay. In 2005 we shipped vessel to Ft. Lauderdale via Dockwise and cruised ICW from Florida to Erie Canal then to Oswego and Lake Ontario (Kingston) before transiting the Trent-Severn Canal to Georgian Bay. Kingston, Picton, Georgian Bay and North Channel are our favorite for scerne beauty and crowdless cruising as experienced in 2006.
In January of 2008 RENEGADE was on the hard in a shed in Mystic, CT where we concluded last summer after back tracking on the Trent-Severn, then up the Rideau from Kingston to Ottawa and Montreal before Lake Champlain and the Hudson to New York and East River to Long Island.
Left Mystic June 1 2008 for Block Island as initial New England Coast destination. Cruised to Wickford Village, Bristol, Newport, Padanaram, prior to transiting the Cape Cod Canal to Plymouth where we picked up two granddaugters (8 & 10 years) to head to Provincetown, Scituate and Boston for historic site seeing. After our young crew left in Boston departed for Marblehead, Glouchester, Newburyport (met Pam owner of "Monkey"), Isle of Sholes and Portsmouth (met Jay owner of "Cruz-in"). Stopped in Kennebunkport on way to Portland, ME where we had the pleasure of a visit with Dave and Vicki ("Nellie D.") for a tour of RENEGADE and lunch. Plan to cruise the many islands and destinations of Maine as we continue East along coastal Maine in July and August.
In 2008 Renegade was trucked across the country and splashed in San Diego, CA. In 2009 she cruised the Channel Islands.
Jeff Ewell (1988-2000) took Renegade up to Alaska and back. He did most of his cruising in the Seattle area. Jeff is an accomplished 'predicted log racer' and was a member of the team which won the International Power Boat Association's Jerry Bryant Trophy for Skipper of the Year. Jeff sold Renegade so that he could see some more of the U.S. by 'land' cruising.

2008/2009 Improvements as reported at Tug Talk Bremerton
- Is impressed with the performance of his rudder cheeks. Tug handling is greatly improved while no reduction in fuel economy is noticed.
- Check your bilge pump switches. Renegade's stern shower started leaking and filled the bilge to almost the motor mounts. The water was sucked in by the 4BT's fly wheel and emerged from another hole high on the bell housing.
- Advocated the use of a Newmar galvanic isolator ($150).
- Put canvas across the upper deck lifelines. Makes the dingy deck like another room.
